How can I enroll? You can get more information about the courses by telephone, e-mail or during our office hours. During office hours you can take the orientation test. Afterwards, we talk about your learning history (Where did you learn German? How long? Which books did you use?), and then recommend the right course for you.
Which languages do we speak in class? We speak strictly German from the beginning on. New vocabulary is also introduced in German. It is, of course, important to have a good German dictionary at home.
How long does it take to learn German? This is hard to say and really depends on your individual learning speed. After approximately 400 hours of instruction you finish the basic level of German. You can participate in daily life. You reach intermediate level after approximately 800 hours of learning. At this point you can, for example, try to enroll at a university. But keep in mind: People are different! Some need more time, others less.
Is there a test at the end of the course? Do I get a certificate? You take a test at the end of the course which is school internal. It is a direct feedback to show you what you have learned, and if you are able to apply that knowledge on your own.
Do I get an internationally accepted certificate after the course? At SPRACHfix you receive a paper after the course which says what you have learned and which level you have achieved. For an internationally accepted language certificate you need to do an official language exam like TestDaF or ZMP.
What do I have to do to go to university in Germany? The minimum you need to apply to university is to have completed the intermediate level (GER B2). You have a better chance of getting into university with an official German language test: TestDaF. We offer preparation courses for TestDaF!
